Guelphbooks.com was started by a University of Guelph student, Max Auyeung, in the spring of 1999. As a side project, the main objective was to help students sell their used textbooks. One thing lead to another and now the site has many different sections. Eventually, the site got a lot of attention and now the site is jointly owned by the CSA and Guelph Campus Co-op.
